News today that engineers at Amazon are gaming token consumption to do better on internal AI leaderboards, using an in-house variant of OpenClaw, reminded me it was time to do an update OpenClaw's status. And, contrary to what people told me previously would happen, the decline continues.
Outside of Amazon, apparently, the main users of OpenClaw remain in China, where it remains a strange get-rich-quick engine, mostly making rich people training other people to get rich with OpenClaw. Spoiler: It doesn't happen.
